Description
Summary:Every human being experiences a phase of childhood life, youth, and adulthood. In the young phase, a person is called a youth. In the process of building a nation, youth is a group of people that must be in it, because it is a necessity of generations. Therefore, the movement of this natural flow generation needs to obtain guidance in order to become the successor generation better than before generation. This research was conducted to understand the description of the conditions of youth and development in Bandung. The phenomenon studied is how the role of the government, youth organizations (YO), and the Regional Representative Council of the Indonesian Youth National Committee (DPD KNPI) of Bandung City. The research method used is descriptive exploratory with a case study approach (case study). The results of this study indicate the OKP and DPD KNPI Bandung have not been maximal in guiding and responding to the youth generation. IMM has not had a thought reform efforts and only runs derivative organizational procedures that have existed since long ago. The IMA AMS has confusion in pursuing the goal that national leaders emerge from Sundanese in the future, this is due to the fact that they have not renewed their thinking in instilling Sundanese and Spirit of Siliwangi for the current era. XTC does not have a channel to channel interest members' talent in the automotive sector, as well as the Bandung KNPI DPD which tends to be slow in responding to the development of the times and weak in carrying out the smallest scope of training in the villages and districts. The Bandung Government also not maximized in response to the flow of youth for coaching youth generation has not done a thorough cross-sectoral, still, rely on the Department of Youth and Sports. From these conditions, it is necessary to renew the thought of the organization's vision so that in the movement of guidance can be more creative and innovative.
