Summary: | Makassar city as gate of East Region of Indonesia continue to develop from time to time. The impact of this development is an increase in population and also increase the number of trips. The ring road construction contained in Urban Land use Plan of Makassar and Spatial Planning of Mamminasata Urban Area is an attempt to serve the movement to the south of Makassar, to Takalar District and to Gowa District cause of this ring road is a part of the Trans Road Sulawesi Mamminasata. This study is aim to analyse the impact of ring road construction on changes in road performance in Makassar City. The scope of this study area is focused on the area that will receive an impact directly from this ring road. This study set three targets to reach the goal : (1) Identification of the area affected by the ring road; (2) Knowing the impact of the ring road on changes in road performance in the affected area; (3) Knowing the total trips that potential using the ring road so that the saturation time of the ring road is known. The analytical method used for the first target is by using spasial anlysis (network analysis), for the second target sensitivity anlysis used to knowing the changes in road permormance value when there is a transfer of trips volume to the ring road through a stepwise approach. And for the third target is calculated the trip generation and trip attraction in the affected area. The analysis results showed, the affected area is area crossed and directly adjacent by the ring road. The results of sensitivity analysis indicates a decrease in the value of VCR on affected roads when there is a transfer trips volume to the ring road. And the third results showed that the ring road will reach saturation in 2033 with a VCR value of 0,85. |
