Summary:Cikapundung river is one of the Citarum sub-stream that flowed in Bandung. Cikapundung divides Bandung from north to south, therefore Cikapundung River is a river that is close to the community. The rapid economic growth and development in Bandung causing derivatives river water quality due to pollution. This study aimed to evaluate the quality status Cikapundung River and determine the effects of the entry of sewage into the river with the Streeter-Phelps model simulation. Water quality parameter data obtained by sampling at several locations along the river that have been determined to be able to see changes to the data based on the location. Samples tested with the applicable procedures. Quality status of the river conducted by STORET method and for calculation is using secondary data from periodic observations of Dinas PSDA Citarum River in 2007 and 2013. From the results obtained STORET method of Cikapundung River do not comply water quality standards class 1 from upstream to downstream. Cikapundung river generally scored heavily polluted, but at the time in 2007 and 2009 at Maribaya scored intermediate polluted. Results of water quality tests at specified point obtained a similarity of pollution pattern change level that pollution is increasing from point 1 to point 7 but in the middle of the stream pollution had declined. In terms of location, pollution reduction at the center of the stream flow occurs due to a deserted area residents. From the simulation of DO model obtained, Cikapundung are able to maintain the water quality because of high reaeration capability, but at point 6 to 7 where the condition of the river is calm and population is high, DO significantly decreased. In the no sewage treatment simulation scenario DO indicate figures 4.24 mg / l, and when the sewage treatment scenario DO showed the 5.3 mg / l. The DO difference is 1,06 mg/l.
