Summary: | Josh Fisher(JF) founded in 1802 with headquartered in Switzerland. It is one of the biggest
manufacturing company in the world and had established since 2008 in Vietnam. Josh Fisher
comprises of three division, JF Piping System, JF Automotive and JF Machining Solution. This
research is focus on JF Piping System. Eventhough JF had entered in a decade ago at Vietnam, but
Managing Director for South East Asia(SEA) report that sales had never achieved the target that
inline with the Asia sales report(except China) which still faced stagnancy. High turnover of
executives also supporting those facts. However, it is contrary with the business climate for
manufacturing industry in Vietnam, especially in the piping system. The external facts like IMF
annual meeting 2018 in Indonesia showing strong support from Indonesia’s investor for Vietnam and
inline with report Asian Development Bank, World Bank in which Vietnam as the second largest
GDP growth in SEA countries for 2018 have huge spending on infrastructure. Internal facts from
Vietnam Government report for manufacturing industry growth is still increased drammatically.
Therefore, Josh Fisher should have positive growth. However, it was not happened. The main
problem finding is that JF has lack of the local existences and acknowledge as unpopular brand in
Vietnam.
Indeed, functional and comprehensive strategy analysis are choosed. It generate results for altenative
solution as recommendation to be implemented by Josh Fisher. These are by implementing horisontal
and vertical strategy in term of get the strong local alliances and orchestrate the upstream and
downstream line of JF piping system industry for cost efficiency. In addition, changing the segment
target to get more wider market potential is needed for the strong sales growth. The perspective of
company from focusing to the product should be alterate into customer value driven.
Therefore, the last part of this research is to generate the implementation plan from the strategy
proposed. The recommendation are to enforced immediately the strategy for three years starting from
the year 2019. It is the right time since all potential from business climate and future forecast from
various reliable results showing that there will be huge project plan at Vietnam until 2030. Indeed,
the author of this research hope it will give benefit for the company or other company in other to
catch the market potential and of course for educational research to enrich the knowledge. |
