Summary:As part of Industry 4.0 evolution, Government through Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) launched a roadmap called “Making Indonesia 4.0” with one of the key targets is build national, digital infrastructure, the other fact is 5G Technology will arrived in Indonesia, indicated with 3GPP release Phase-1 of 5G Technology standard and Government roadmap plan to released 5G spectrum. From Telecommunication industry point of view, operators facing the situation in which the revenue is going flat and/or declined, thus encouraging an idea whether the new 5G Technology can be used as a new tool to increases the revenue and profitability for the company. The final project exploring the strategy in how PT Ericsson Indonesia will be able to get the biggest advantages on the new 5G Technology and winning against the competition. Based on research made, the author found that Ericsson must maximizing the 5G Technology as their future new revenue stream, while keep focusing on current LTE and 3G/2G technology. Alternative solution including short-term and long-term target plan also proposed and defined to PT Ericsson Indonesia.
