Summary:Flood is one of the disasters that frequently occur in some areas in Indonesia. Jakarata is one of the regions Indonesia, which quite often experience flooding. Many negative effects caused by the floods, ranging from economic loss, disease infection, also piled up garbage. The amount of waste generated by the floods usually more. In addition flood waste also has different characteristics than the normal waste. Because of the number and characteristics of flood waste is different , so it takes a different waste management in order to overcome the problems. This research conducted an analysis of the waste management system, especially in terms of the technical aspects of operations such as separation, collecting, and transporting. This study was conducted by questionnaires, field observations, and interviews to the victims of the flood disater. It is also coupled with the secondary data which is obtained from relevant agencies such as Dinas Kebersihan DKI Jakarta dan Badan Basional Penangnan Bencana Daerah DKI Jakarta . From the results of the questionnaire, it is known that as many as 65,665% of the 90 respondents low-income communities are use plastic and 30% of respondents use the sack to support their flood waste. Suitable storaging alternative for low income l region is the provision of 200 liter trash bag. Moreover, to cope with the amount of waste flood it takes 1 carts per 181 population and 1 truck per 5888 population. Alternatives that can be done to speed up the waste management system is to improve garbage collection.
