Transforming or not always be part of company’s strategy decision. A strategic decission that leads to the formation of a coherent corporate visionSo that, it provides a clarity in answering questions; where are we now? Where do we want to go? and how are we going to get there? About how well it can be executed, it really depends on the quality of the company’s strategic management. Then, the awareness and effort to implement a good strategy management should be considered as a good start toward business sustainability. This final project is aimed to propose a solution to improve the quality of PT DMS’s strategic management so that between PT DMS’s strategy and operational execution can be well aligned. Qualitative approach is used in this research. Primary data was collected through a deep interview with top executive in PT DMS was done in comprehending the issues and providing right solution. Meanwhile, some relevance literatures and company past document is collected and studied and treated as secondary data. SMMMTM approach is used to assess the quality condition of PT DMS’s strategic management. Results of assessment is analyzed and used as the basis in designing the solution. Solution to improve the quality of PT DMS’s strategic management is designed by using Balance Scorecard. To help to link the vision and operational execution, vision of PT DMS is translated into several strategic objective in four difference Balance Scorecard perspective. At the end of the design, each strategic objective is set with certain criteria of measurement. In other the performance measurement presented in previous chapter can be well and continuously executed, a close loop management system is suggested to be implemented. Reward and punishment management; and to keep updating the performance management become the concern to be suggested as future research. text
