Development and good infrastructure in a country will be able to encourage economic improvement in the country. Because, the availability of infrastructure can facilitate the flow of the economy so that it can expand, reduce production costs so that it can cause multiplier effects such as: new investments, new jobs, increased income and public welfare as a result of economic moves. PT SANSINO as one of the providers of consultancy services in infrastructure can contribute to the country in terms of equitable development. Work on infrastructure projects is very complex because it involves many people from different backgrounds. PT SANSINO often experiences problems due to lack of implementation of project management plans. As a result, the lack of efficiency in workflow then impacted on margin contributions at project closure is below the initial target. Consultants as service providers always deal with clients regarding assigned work orders, in fact many clients expect jobs outside of the scope of work. This becomes a dilemma with consideration of client satisfaction and project costs where the two things are contradictory. If company comply with client requests, the costs incurred tend to be greater. On the one hand, if the client is satisfied with the performance of the company, the opportunity to work together again is also open or can be called a business opportunity. In the internal company itself, project management must be a focus for management. A project from the initiating phase to closure must be managed efficiently and effectively. The initiating starts from mapping the risk of a project with consideration from various parties to determine whether the project is feasible or not. The Project Management Plan is a document that covers all resources, scope of work as well as scheduling work. All parties involved must work based on the document. This research was compiled based on qualitative methods by conducting interviews with managers, project managers and senior experts in the company. In-depth interviews were conducted to explore how the opinions of respondents regarding the implementation of project management in the company. From the results of interviews and literature studies, recommendations will be given to PT SANSINO for improving existing project management. In the end, if project management has been implemented effectively and on target, the company can maximize the potential that exists because it has a foundation in the form of structured project management. text |
