Production increment for the freshwater prawn through cultivation depends on their water quality like salinity and number of density in pond. The aim of this study was to find out the optimum salinity and number of density for increasing of the growth and survival rate of the juvenile freshwater prawnin the laboratory scale. This study used an experimental random design with 6x3 factorials. The varians of salinity were used such as 0ppt, 2ppt, 4ppt, 6ppt, 8ppt, 10ppt, and the number of density were 150, 100, 50 individual juveniles/aquarium. The age of the juvenile freshwater prawn used was 45 days with an initial average weight of 0,007±0,001 gram/individual. Those juveniles were kept in the aquarium with size of 50x30x30 cm3 for 50 days of experimental period. Parameters were measured, such as survival rate, increment of absolute biomass, daily growth rate by weight. The results showed that the highest survival rate (84,50±2,50%) was found at the salinity of 0 ppt with the density of 100 juveniles. The highest biomass increment (30,13±3,11g) was found at the salinity of 2 ppt with the density of 150 juveniles. The highest daily growth rate by weight (8,29±0,05%) was found at the salinity of 2 ppt with the density of 100 juveniles. Final conclusion, the optimal growth and survival rates of the juveniles was found at the optimal combination of 2 ppt salinity and the density number of 100 juveniles in the aquarium text
