This mixture will be tested using the Marshall test, Resilient Modulus by UMATTA and fatigue resistance test by the four points loading controlled strain method. The fine aggregate gradation content after the extraction process on each stripped mixture material are varying according to their characteristics, which will continue to affect the performance hotmix RAP AC-BC. Overall, the RAP C2 mixture gives the opposite result of the RAP C1 mixture because it contains the least amount of fine aggregate. In the RAP C3 mixture, the results are not so different with C1. Therefore, it will be considered to be one material group, which is C1,3. A mixture of C1,3 is better to be used for AC-BC layers above the granular base layer because the cycle of fatigue failure is longer. Whereas, C2 mixture is better to be used for AC-BC layer above a bituminous layer base because the RAP mixture from C2 has better stiffness than other mixtures. text |

The road today needs innovations in terms of maintenance method. By the criteria
should be economically and environmentally friendly, because the road quality is
getting worse after the repeated volume of traffic on daily basis. Reducing the
needs of additional layer (overlay), the road should maintain the geometric
condition. By reusing old pavement material, with recycling technology or
Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP), should overcome the dependence of new
materials.
The stripped material is obtained from three different Toll Road locations, those
are Cawang-Tj.Priok Toll Road, Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road and Wiyoto
Wiyono Toll Road. The mixture of RAP is asphaltic concrete binder courses (ACBC)
with a proportion of 30% stripped material and 70% addition of new
material, and using material that can rejuvenate the old bitumen such as
reclamite. This mixture will be tested using the Marshall test, Resilient Modulus
by UMATTA and fatigue resistance test by the four points loading controlled
strain method.
The fine aggregate gradation content after the extraction process on each
stripped mixture material are varying according to their characteristics, which
will continue to affect the performance hotmix RAP AC-BC. Overall, the RAP C2
mixture gives the opposite result of the RAP C1 mixture because it contains the
least amount of fine aggregate. In the RAP C3 mixture, the results are not so
different with C1. Therefore, it will be considered to be one material group, which
is C1,3. A mixture of C1,3 is better to be used for AC-BC layers above the
granular base layer because the cycle of fatigue failure is longer. Whereas, C2
mixture is better to be used for AC-BC layer above a bituminous layer base
because the RAP mixture from C2 has better stiffness than other mixtures.
