Identification is done by using a mixed method (Creswell, 2003) which combines quantitative and qualitative analysis, while the instrument used to make the evaluation standard is PKIV (CIFOR, 1999; Ritchi et al., 2001). In ecology, habitat palm civet adjustments have not been fulfilled, which is indicated by enrichment facilities were not yet complete. In economy, with financial analysis, investment criteria included in the category of decent (NPV Rp. 161,446,695 B / C ratio of 1.59, 2.7 and PBP IRR 36%). Socially, yet powerful external institutions as well as luwak coffee products that do not have standards is a barrier in consumer acceptability. Application of animal welfare in the two different cages are indicated that all the principles of animal welfare were still not fullfilled, further analysis showed that the gap between the ideal conditions and the actual condition of the average in the cage type I 62% and Cage type II 74%, which resulted in a change of behavior comfort behavior is low (in the cage at 4:09% type I and type II cages at 0:27%). PKIV evaluation standard was created consisting of 7 principles, 18 criteria and 50 indicators of sustainable management of luwak coffee production which includes the dimensions of the ecological, social and economic. The conclusions of this study are generally luwak coffee production process systems do not meet the application of animal welfare. Application of the principles, criteria and indicators of civet coffee production management as management standards will make the Malabar into luwak coffee execellence and sustainable products. |
