Almost all activities and aspects of human life requires water, including worship. Indonesia as the largest Muslim country in the world has more than 207,176,162 people who embraced Islam. In a series of praying, Muslims use water for ablutions (wudu). This study examines the quantity and quality of water used for ablution and then assessed its potential to be reused or recycled. Study conducted in 3 large mosques, such as Salman ITB Mosque, Al-Furqan UPI Mosque, and Darul Hikam Mosque. It can be inferred that the average water used by one person for ablution is 2.2 liters. Different amount of ablution waste water discharged depends on the number of worshipper and the water source. Salman discharge of waste water is at least 5.2 m3/day, while Darul Hikam 2.86 m3/day and 10.9 m3/day UPI. Parameters that exceed water quality standards Permenkes 492/2010 is coli bacteria, organic, and turbidity. Turbidity changes about 78% from the clean water quality standard and need to be removed about 28%. Coli Bacteria changes about 91% from the clean water quality standard and need to be removed about 100%. Organic increase about 90% and need to be removed about 28%. Thus, reuse of waste water can be done by using contact filtration and disinfection. The water can be recycled as water for washing and swabbing, watering plants, ground water recharge, or reuse for ablution. text
