Aside from the awareness of society to throw the trash away in its place and nearly none water absorption land, it also because global warming causes the rising of sea water levels, the floods im Jakarta are getting worse. Every year DKI Jakarta has to get trough various problems and waste that produced because of flood is one of them. The research was done by Dinas Kebersihan DKI Jakarta informed the mass of flood waste reached 1,014.98 tons per day in 2013. On the contrary, there is not any special treatment for these waste either from society itself or the government. Therefore, the result of this research will be the waste generation and the compositon of flood waste that estimated as the first step to create some alternative treatment plans befitted and proper based on some conditions in DKI Jakarta. In this research, some of quetionnaires and interviews were held in some residences, public facilities, and final dumping points in 5 flooded villages of each districts in DKI Jakarta. Every researched points were also chosen based on the flood depths vary from 10 cm to 4 m and the flood periods which are from 1 week to 1 month. As the result, the flood depths are the most influential among 2 others. For Kampung Pulo (1,5 – 4 m depth flooded point), the waste generation reached 29,596 liter/person equals with 0,96 liter/m2/day while wood, furnitures, and some utensils are the main component of those waste. text |
