The well modeled as sink point with certain discharge as its quantity. The head value will become decreased at the point approach the well. Computational results with various model compared between analytical result and FEM show that reliability of the program become reduced when dealing with higher discharge and smaller values of soil hydraulic conductivity. While the mesh refinement does not has much effect to computational result. Finite element model for groundwater area can be applied for dewatering process where contractors attempt to remove the water content of soil that will be excavated when they will build underground structures. text
