Summary:As well as other areas in Indonesia in general, the development of Bandung City that has a sundanese culture and society, starts from the life style of rural village, which then evolved towards urban life style. The existence of the village into an urban residential neighborhood in Bandung with all the developments and changes that occur to achieve such shape that we can see until today is a long process as the dynamics of city. Development and image of Bandung can’t be separated from the problem and the existence of village-town. This study sought to identify the characteristics of physical development seen from changes in land use functions and public perception of the physical condition, identify the socio-economic characteristics of the village community, analyzing the sustainability status of village, analyze the linkage between characteristics of the physical development and socio-economic village community with aspects of sustainability. At the stage of data processing and analysis, this study uses several analytical tools that are used to process the data that have be en obtained in previous stages (survey and data collection), in addition to process data analysis tools have been also used to interpret the data that has been processed. The analytical tool used is descriptive analysis, analysis superimpose maps, weighting analysis, and analysis of cross tabulation (crosstab). Based on the results of analysis sustainability status of the village, there are six villages namely Kampung Haur Kuning, Sumur Siuk, Banceuy, Melong, Kebon Salak, and Babatan that have higher physical sustainability assessment. As for the assessment a higher socio-economic sustainability are the four villages, namely, Kampung Cibunut, Cibantar, Legok Kangkung, and Pasundan. For those who have physical sustainability assessment equal with socio-economic sustainability assessment contained in the two villages, namely Kampung Kebun Manggu and Sukamanah. Based on the results of linkage analysis, physical characteristics are aspects that have a bigger impact on the sustainability aspects of the village co mpared to socio-economic characteristics. Proved to be the percentage of variable socioeconomic characteristics associated with sustainability hometown. In this case of 28 iv socio-economic variables are 12 variables (Level Respondents Education, Employment Type Respondent, Respondent Household Income, Length of Stay in the village, Reasons to Live in the village, Trash and Security fee, Transport Costs, level of aspiration and Community Response, How familiar with the Neighbors (Level Kinship), Intensity Kampung Implement Sports / gymnastics Mass, intensity kampong Implement Day Big Event, that are closely related (E) with aspects of sustainability. Meanwhile, from 21 physical variables are 12 variables (Condition of Educational Facilities, Condition of Health Care Facilities, Condition of Trading Facilities, Condition of Sports Facilities, Condition of Accessibility and Road Network, Condition of Telecommunication Network, Condition of Drainage Network, Condition of Green Open Space, Environmental Beauty Level, Environmental Security level, Environmental Leisure Level, Building Floor Coefficient) that are closely related (E) with aspects of sustainability. It can be concluded that the sustainability of the village is more influenced by the physical characteristics.
