INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/36006 Aquaculture is one of industry in food sector that its growth very fast in two decade last until continuously are very determined by some of factors such as nutrition factor, disease, genetic, and zootecnic. One of challenge aquaculture to the fore is available is fish farmer technique (zootecnic) that can fulfill some of criteria such as economize application water resources, room efficiency, simple and can be applied, higienic and environmentally friendly. Base condition is refered research about influence application recirculation aquaculture system to improvement of water quality, growth and survival rate fish, and level higienic culture for nursery phase of giant freshwater common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) has been conducted. In this research recirculation system used consisted of four main devices: (1) culture tank 500 L, (2) settling tank for harsh particle precipitation, (3) protein skimmer to catch fine particle, (4) active carbon to fasten toxic compound, (5) biofilter to process nitrification in continu. In this research common carp weighing early 12,1 ± 2,81 g, and length early 7 ± 0,57 cm, used in research. In this research used common carp is 100 tails/culture tank. Research is conducted for 60 day use three replicates and to control used static system (batch). Giving a commercial diet is conducted in ad libitum by follow usage strategy a commercial diet 5x2. In other hand, during research conducted are measured parameter of water qualities such as amonium, nitrit, nitrate, pH, DO, temperature, and bacterium profusion. Research result shows that the usage of system recirculation give positive impact to common carp growth where the average of accretion of fish body weight of 0,026±0,005 g and the average of accretion of average fish length of 0,008 ± 0,001 cm, and biomass 52,04±12,34 g can be reached by for two month culture and results this higher compared to batch system (the average of weight = 0,008± 0,001 cm, the average of length of 0,007± 0,003 cm, and biomass 39,52±10,03). Survival rate level fish at recirculation system give superordinate result compared to batch system, that is 77 % (where for batch system survival rate of 47 %). The four of this biology component differs reality (p< 0,05). Beside affect positive to growth and survival rate fish, the usage of recirculation system give positive impact to water quality where compound content toxic such as ammonium levels (0,04-0,09 ppm) and nitrit (0,02-0,29 ppm) lower and more stabilize in comparison with batch system (amonium ranges from 0,07-0,13 ppm and nitrit range from 0,10-0,34 ppm. From the aspect of level higienic culture, the average of bacterium colony that met during culture period is of 2,9 x 106 and 3,8 x 106 at recirculation system and batch system alternately. Base research result can be concluded that the application recirculation system at common carp conducting can create culture condition that can support good creation of water quality, support common carp growth and culture condition that more higienic to process nursery phase of giant freshwater common carp. text
