CORRELATION ANALYSIS OF RAINFALL MEASUREMENT RESULTED BY “APCHI” FARMERS USING ENSO AND IOD WITH THE RESULTS OF PADDY RICE PRODUCTIVITY FORECAST (Case Study: Kabupaten Indramayu, West Java)

This study analyzes the correlation of rainfall measurement based on observational data resulted from farmers that associated in the Indramayu Rainfall Measuring Farmers Association (Asosiasi Petani Pengukur Curah Hujan Indramayu “APCHI”) to predict the rate of paddy rice productivity in fields usin...

INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/36276 This study analyzes the correlation of rainfall measurement based on observational data resulted from farmers that associated in the Indramayu Rainfall Measuring Farmers Association (Asosiasi Petani Pengukur Curah Hujan Indramayu “APCHI”) to predict the rate of paddy rice productivity in fields using rainfall measurements in field area as the input data. The methods used in this research are verification of daily rainfall observed by farmers with dichotomous table and quality of monthly rainfall data test which was Autocorrelation Function (ACF) and Double Mass Curves. Then analysis partial correlation of time lag between rainfall and ENSO & IOD, and prediction of rice productivity resulted by DSSAT model. According to the verification of extreme and dense rainfall using daily data, APCHI farmers' measurement data is not representative enough compared to BMKG daily rainfall data. The measurement value was only 10.27%. ACF testing and the quality of annual rainfall data indicate that the data observed by farmers can be used to correlate the data with climate phenomena. The regional climate of both ENSO and IOD impacts a decreasing rainfall that begins to occur in SON in the North Java region, especially in Indramayu. The relationship between rainfall and rice cultivation management in paddy fields with the results of the estimation of rice productivity is highly correlated. text
