Summary: | Cirebon Power PLTU is ± 500 m from the Java sea. It is suspected that there are local wind cycles, namely sea winds that affect the distribution of NO2 emissions. Cirebon Power PLTU has a location adjacent to residential areas. The influence of sea winds that lead to land causes NO2 emissions released by the chimney to be very dangerous for health if they exceed the threshold. Therefore this study was conducted to determine the effect of sea breeze on the distribution of NO2 emissions in the study area, namely Cirebon Power PLTU.
Data and methods in this study are FNL data selected to look for the day of the occurrence of sea winds. Furthermore, simulating the sea breeze using the WRF model and simulating the distribution of NO2 pollutants using the CALPUFF model modeling. Simulations are carried out on February 26, 2017 and August 28, 2017.
The results showed that the sea breeze circulation pattern at 2 days was different. Then the distribution of NO2 emissions is indeed influenced by the local phenomenon of sea breeze. The range of distribution of NO2 emissions in August 2017 is further than in February 2017. However, the concentration in February is higher than in August 2017. However, the concentration is still below the ambient air quality standards set by the government. |
