Warehouse is part of a logistics system that functions as a place to store goods both raw materials, parts, goods-in-process and finished goods. Warehousing has an organization in carrying out operational activities, especially administrative activities. There are several major activities in warehousing, namely the activities of receiving, storing, spending and reporting. The great activity of warehousing is of course interconnected both in internal organizations and stakeholders. As a logistics and warehousing company PT. Bhanda Ghara Reksa Branch Medan is currently experiencing a decrease in customer satisfaction with warehousing services. Warehouse reliability is included in the component which has a relatively low decline compared to other components. In 2015, warehouse reliability at the customer satisfaction index of PT. Bhanda Ghara Reksa reaches 94%, while in 2016 the warehouse's reliability rate has decreased, reaching 80%. As a logistics and warehousing company PT. Bhanda Ghara Reksa Branch Medan is currently experiencing problems regarding administrative systems that have not been effective and efficient. This problem can be proven by the low results of customer assessment of the reporting system at PT. Bhanda Ghara Branch Medan which only reaches 79% and does not meet the target of the company, which is 95%. The causal factors of the ineffective and efficient warehouse administration system include a complicated administrative process and a long administrative bureaucratic process that has an impact on the duration of receipt and expenditure activities in the warehouse of PT. Bhanda Ghara Branch Medan. Several previous studies related to improving the warehouse administration system that is still partial. In this study the administrative system is carried out overall improvement from the administration of receipt, storage, expenditure and reporting of stock items in the warehouse. Stages of repairs to the warehouse administration process are carried out by using the Value stream mapping (VSM) method by Tran (2015). Based on the stages of Value stream mapping (VSM), the waste analysis carried out in this study used aspects of the streamlining method of Harrington (1991) and carried out improvements to the warehouse administration process with Esia Andersen's technique (2007) and by benchmarking the PT. Enseval Putera Megatrading Tbk. Improvements to the warehouse administration system can reduce verification activities that are not value added, simplify the process of recording warehouse administration forms and reduce the lengthy and complicated process. The total time used before the administrative process improvement was reached 154.15 minutes, while the time spent on the new administrative process reached 135.42 minutes. Thus the proposal to improve the warehouse administration process is faster than the previous administrative process.
