Author found the same experience while practising printmaking, where order often curb chaos for technical needs. The pattern is increasingly felt when the writer elaborates on representational objects, this pattern causes the dimming of spontaneity obtained during the printmaking process. A desire arises to move away from object representation to abstraction, hoping that abstraction can accommodate the movement of intuition and spontaneity. This Final Project work are based on these awareness. The author uses woodcut printmaking as a generative system. The system is combined with elements of chances both in the manufacturing process and when displayed as a rampak. Chances are used as a trigger for spontaneity and random elements that are close to chaos. This system becomes a forum for interaction between chaos and order. text |
