Summary:This master thesis focuses on the plasma sprayed ceramic coatings for high temperature tribological applications. Different materials for high temperature tribological applications will be listed. Water-stabilized plasma spraying will be described. Ceramic materials and their properties will be described. Wear behavior of plasma sprayed ceramic coatings will be tested at different temperatures from room temperature up to 750 °C. The influence of high temperature on wear properties will be evaluated.
