Description
Summary:Flood is one of the events which cause substantial losses. One area that is often flooded in Bekasi. Commencing 2002 and 2013, large floods have occurred repeatedly in the watershed. Every five years, residents near the biggest river in Bekasi that were affected by floods. Based on the analysis, the flood is a flood return period of 5 years by 445 m3/second the Bekasi River. Thus the flood control efforts planned by the 5-year flood discharge There are 2 alternatives proposed flood control, river normalization and retention pond. Assessed by comparison of the best alternative water surface profile modeling river. River modeling is done with the help of HEC-RAS Software 4.1.0 Based on river modeling, normalization and control the retention pond large enough to reduce the impact of flooding Q5 Bekasi River but does not solve the whole problem of flooding along the river. This is because there are several along the river that is positioned low enough Q5 Bekasi river flooding problems can be solved by combining the methods of controlling the normalization and retention ponds. It can be seen from the water surface profile after control combination, where there is no water to overflow. It is expected that control alternative has been analyzed in this study can provide a recommendation in flood mitigation efforts in the city of Bekasi
