Description
Summary:Dealing with social anxiety, where the mind immediately afraid of what others think about themself, or constantly imagining something terrible or embarrassing will happen. Even though those thoughts are not necessarily true or unlikely to happen, it was bothering and making to feel uncomfortable, thus resulting in avoiding those situations to happen. However, having too often avoiding such social situation, it will wasted many opportunities, which then make life seems lonely and empty, without any direction or purpose for the future. In this art final project, there will be five figures representing the feeling of emptiness, which is part of the experience of loneliness, nervousness, anxiety, and worry, made from flexible copper wire assemblies as the medium of the emotions that the writer experiences. Using theories such as self-concept in psychology, art as expressions, representation and media of catharsis as the foundation in making this art. Through the process of making this art, there’s hope to get rid of anxiety and achieve self-actualization, where we can get to know and understand ourself better and ultimately improve the character and potential to become a better and bolder person.
