One of the potential development techniques is to divide it in various thicknesses so that it becomes a rattan strips. Rattan strips can be combined with twist bending techniques which are still relatively new in rattan processing techniques. The combination of rattan strips and twist bending techniques is a rattan twister, it is expected to produce variations in the shape of rattan products. Rattan materials used in this research were Seel and Seuti rattan. Where the two of them are often found on the market but are used as supporting structures because they are considered to lack of strength. The method used in this research is an experiment with quantitative data output. The stages of this research began with a pre-experiment, which is to prove that the rattan twister design can be realized, then proceed with static load testing, and the final stages is the analysis and recommendations of product cases. The results of this research are that rattan twister which have independent variables, the type of rattan, the width of the strip, and the thickness of the strip has the opportunity to become a structure that is able to withstand loads and has a good value of elasticity. text
