Summary:Public street lighting is public facility which is important for lighting and security of highway users, and other facilities. The development of street lighting system based on LED is a solution for saving energy, especially in street lighting system. This smart street lighting system can monitor street light and automatically control using the ESP8266 module. The ESP8266 is a microcontroller with WiFi built in. Auto intensity control of light use the BH1750 sensor through a dimming technique by Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). Control system design also monitor the environmental temperature and humidity. The communication between node is based on mesh by Espressif (ESP-Mesh). This allows an ESP-Mesh network to have much greater coverage area. Mesh communication is adapted because each node connected to each other and forwarding data to the destination up to coverage area. ESP-MESH is self-organizing and self-configuring meaning the network can be built and maintained autonomously. The result shows that each node built in mesh network configuration. ESP826 sends dimmer value and read sensors. The system can be accessed and controlled by web server.
