Orange County is specifically designed as a Central Business Distric (CBD) area that is equipped with apartments and 32 supporting facilities ranging from offices, education areas, commercial areas, and health areas. To prepare the Orange County area, it is necessary to make supporting facilities such as the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) that provides clean water. With the existence of new service areas, water demand was increases. In addition, quality of intake water do not meet the quality standard requirements. Some assessments are needed to make the new WTP in WTP-3. There are increase of water demand, construction of existing WTP that are difficult to uprating, available land in WTP-3, and quality of raw water that has not met the quality standard requirements. The raw water source comes from the Tarum Barat River which is beside the existing condition. Based on primary and secondary data, the quality of raw water does not meet the parameters of the Minister of Health Regulation No. 32 of 2017 about Standard Environmental Quality Standards and Water Requirements for Sanitary Hygiene Demand. These parameters are turbidity, nitrite, total coli, E. coli, and iron. Based on the calculation of water demand, the water treatment system will be designed with a capacity of 77 L/s. The system used for this water treatment uses inline static mixer for the coagulation process, baffle channel flocculation for the flocculation process, settler plate clariier for the sedimentation process, deep bed continuous upflow sand filter for the filtration process, and gas for the pre-chlorination and disinfection process. text |
