Pangkalpinang as the capital of Bangka Belitung Islands province is located on the east coast of Bangka Island. The city of Pangkalpinang utilizes water sources from the former excavated tin mines which have been abandoned for long time, namely kolong Kacang Pedang, kolong Pedindang and Kolong Bacang which have 2 IPA. By utilizing these three kolong, the uneven distribution of water is feared to greatly affect the diminishing water supply due to increasing population growth every year. While the use of water sources still relies on these three sources. The purpose of this research is to optimize and identify raw water usage at present and in the future. To allow the water needs in Pangkalpinang City, the optimization method using a linear program is expected to be able to provide output of the analysis results to determine the effectiveness of use and even distribution of kolong water as a source of raw water for the period 2018 - 2037. The results of the optimization of the three kolong, which are kolong Kacang Pedang, kolong Pedindang and kolong Bacang, do not meet 100% of the needs of 110 liters / soul / day. For equal distribution of 100% water until 2037, Pedindang WTP is able to supply 51,6 liters / soul / day of water and Bacang IPA 7,4 liters / soul / day. Equitable distribution of 100% water in Pangkalpinang City must utilize the potential of other water resources, such as the kolong Keramba with an area of 4.8 ha, kolong Kepuh 1.9 ha, kolong Sinar Bulan 3.4 ha, kolong Akit 3.2 ha and kolong Spritus 3 ha. As well as the utilization of river protection has the potential to help fulfill water needs, especially in the Gerunggang and Gabek sub-districts. Bangka Belitung Islands has the potential of natural resources as the largest tin
producer in Indonesia. Pangkalpinang as the capital of Bangka Belitung Islands
province is located on the east coast of Bangka Island. The city of Pangkalpinang
utilizes water sources from the former excavated tin mines which have been
abandoned for long time, namely kolong Kacang Pedang, kolong Pedindang and
Kolong Bacang which have 2 IPA. By utilizing these three kolong, the uneven
distribution of water is feared to greatly affect the diminishing water supply due to
increasing population growth every year. While the use of water sources still relies
on these three sources. The purpose of this research is to optimize and identify raw
water usage at present and in the future.
To allow the water needs in Pangkalpinang City, the optimization method using a
linear program is expected to be able to provide output of the analysis results to
determine the effectiveness of use and even distribution of kolong water as a source
of raw water for the period 2018 - 2037.
The results of the optimization of the three kolong, which are kolong Kacang
Pedang, kolong Pedindang and kolong Bacang, do not meet 100% of the needs of
110 liters / soul / day. For equal distribution of 100% water until 2037, Pedindang
WTP is able to supply 51,6 liters / soul / day of water and Bacang IPA 7,4 liters /
soul / day. Equitable distribution of 100% water in Pangkalpinang City must utilize
the potential of other water resources, such as the kolong Keramba with an area of
4.8 ha, kolong Kepuh 1.9 ha, kolong Sinar Bulan 3.4 ha, kolong Akit 3.2 ha and
kolong Spritus 3 ha. As well as the utilization of river protection has the potential
to help fulfill water needs, especially in the Gerunggang and Gabek sub-districts.
In order to fulfill the needs that are evenly distributed according to the provisions
and sustainable for the people of Pangkalpinang city. |
