EMOTION INVOLVEMENT OF THE GAME PLAYER DURING AN INTERACTIONS IN MOBILE GAME GAMES

The era of technological development made changes in the platform for playing digital games. These changes offer convenience in playing digital games, namely mobile games. Mobile games that are currently widely played are Mobile legends. The platform must have an Android operating system that has the Google Play Store and with an OS of at least 4.0 Ice Cream. Each game has mechanical elements, dynamic elements and aesthetic elements. There will be an interaction in the game, in the form of player interaction with features in the game, or interactions that occur between one player and another if the game is online. This interaction will lead to emotional involvement of players while playing games. This research was conducted to find out the elements in Mobile legends that most influence the emotional involvement of game players. In addition, this study is also to determine the emotional response of Mobile legends game players, both verbal and non-verbal emotional responses. This study uses qualitative methods in the form of case studies, which are supported by quantitative methods, using questionnaires that involve research subjects who are not gender bound, with ages ranging from 17 to 23 years. The results obtained are elements in the Mobile Legends game that have an influence on the emotional involvement of the player when playing the game is a combination of the three elements, namely the mechanical, dynamic, and aesthetic elements. But the most important role in emotional involvement is an aesthetic element because it relates to the human senses. Emotional responses that occur because of the interaction of game players Mobile legends when playing games in the form of hand movements or other body members (non-verbal) and the presence of expressions in the form of speech (verbal)
