Description
Summary:Indonesia as an archipelagic country needs adequate sea transportation to connect between its islands. Sea transportation must be supported by adequate facilities and infrastructure, especially for berth facilities. With adequate sea transportation facilities and infrastructure, the flow of goods and people through the sea can run smoothly. One type of pier that needs to be built is the passenger dock. The passenger dock is planned to be built in Wonreli, Maluku. The scope of this final assignment includes, processing of environmental data, calculating the loads that work on the dock and trestle, determining the dimensions of the dock and trestle, analysis of dock and trestle structure, reinforcement designs of concrete structural elements, and analysis of soil bearing capacity. Design references used include the Overseas Coastal Development Institute of Japan (OCDI) and British Standard (BS), while the design criteria for structural elements (steel and concrete) were obtained from SNI 1729: 2012 and SNI 2847: 2013. The results of this Final Project include the dimensions of the dock and trestel structure, the structural elements dimensions of the dock and trestel, the detail of reinforcement based on concrete inner force, and the depth of the design plan that is able to withstand structural reactions based on available geotechnical data.
