Summary: | In 2014, RSAU Dr. M Salamun Bandung is one of the hospitals that can be referred by people in
West Java to get health services using BPJS cards. This resulted in an increase in the number of
patients who came to seek treatment at RSAU Dr. M Salamun Bandung, namely during January-
August 2017 a total of 129,732 patients came to get health services, specifically the polyclinic of
internal disease as many as 15,039 patients. This also causes the patient's waiting time to increase.
This study aims to design improvements that will be proposed and implemented to improve the
quality of health services at the registration counter & internal medicine clinic with lean hospital
methods and the 9E-1M operability system. Observations were made on all administrative and
service processes which would then be mapped into the value stream mapping (VSM), activity
classification, root problem analysis (5 whys) and risk matrix. Of the entire process 14 cases were
identified at the registration counter and 11 cases that occurred in the polyclinic of internal
disease.
Based on the results of identification and severity level above the value of two (> 2) of the cases
at the registration counter and the internal medicine clinic, two problems were found at the
registration counter and two problems in the polyclinic of internal disease. The results of the
implementation of improvements using the lean hospital method on the problems studied showed
that there was a decrease in patient waiting time at the registration counter and polyclinic of
internal disease by 56.59% after implementing continuous flow systems and made improvement
guidelines using the 9E-1M operability system to ensure that repairs can be applied properly and
effectively. |
