EVALUATION OF PASSENGER CAR EQUIVALENT (PCE) ON STRAIGHT MOVEMENTS AND TURN TO THE RIGHT MOVES (CASE STUDY: FOUR SIGNAL INTERSECTION AT CITY OF BANDUNG)

Due to the road traffic condition that changes by the time, there is evaluation needed to check the PCE score mostly on motorcycle and heavy vehicle, whether the score is still relevant to be used in current condition or not. Therefore, the purposes of this thesis are to: 2) Determine the PCE score of motorcycle (MC) and heavy vehicle (HV) on straight moves and turn to the right moves in four signal intersection, 2) Analyze the comparison between saturated flow score based on the survey and MKJI method and Akcelik method, 3) Analyze the PCE score based on calculation and PCE score taken from MKJI, reviewing the feasibility PCE of MKJI with current traffic conditions 4) To know the relation of proportion-relationship motorcycle and heavy vehicle with PCE score. To calculate the PCE score, segmentation method was used in this thesis where the score used is 6 seconds. Survey location was conducted in the intersection of Jl. Soekarno Hatta-Jl. Gede Bage. As the result, The PCE when straight movements for motorcycle (MC) are 0.28 and 1.7 for heavy vehicle (HC). While the PCE score when turn right moves MC and HC are 0.2 and 1.47. The comparison of saturated flow based on the survey is higher than MKJI and Akcelik score. Analysis comparison PCE of calculation result and PCE of MKJI is Value of PCE MC and PCE HV of calculation result higher of PCE of MKJI. Based on those values, the proportion-comparison of MC and PCE of MC is the higher of propotion MC then the lower the value of PCE MC. And the propotion-comparasion of HV and PCE of HV is the lower of propotion HV then the lower the value of PCE HV text
