The service area of the Selopuro landfill is a sub-district of Ngawi consisting of 12 villages and 4 sub-sub-districts. Selopuro land has an existing leachate treatment plant which is stabilization ponds. This series of stabilization ponds consists of anaerobic ponds, facultative ponds divided into 3 cells, maturation ponds divided into 3 cells, and constructed wetland. This leachate treatment plant produces effluent which exceeds the quality standard of Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan RI Nomor 59 tahun 2016, namely the BOD parameter of 945 mg / l, COD of 3050 mg / l, TSS of 250 mg / l, and Nitrogen Total of 129.5 mg / l. Based on the Thorntwaite method, the leachate discharge produced was 0.14 liters/second or 0.28 liters/second/hectare. Therefore it was redesigned by utilizing existing processing plants. Redesign is done by adding surface aerators to facultative ponds with a power of 1.5 hp in the first cell and 0.5 hp in the second and third cells and increasing the elevation of the maturas pond datum by adding a concrete plate so that the depth becomes 1.5 m and replacing the soil media and wetland vegetation. This upgrade results in BOD removal efficiency of up to 99%. The budget plan required for this redesign is Rp.500,973,446.30 with operational costs of Rp.22,984,090.23, per year. Additional recommendations proposed is the need to build a recirculation system towards landfill to handle fluctuations in leachate quality and maintenance of ponds text
