Summary:The shifting of print media trends to digital requires companies engaged in print media such as magazines to develop into the digital domain so as not to lose their consumers. Thus to maintain the existence of the magazine as a media that provides information, it is necessary to provide the magazine in digital form, because if this is not done then the magazine will lose consumers or readers of the magazine. digital magazine application as a product to meet the needs of consumers to read, making developers or creators of digital magazine applications need to understand the needs of users to be accepted by them, and not just enliven the digital magazine application market. Thus design recommendations like what can be used as a reference for conventional magazines to make their magazines into digital form. Thus, the user experience offered by digital magazine applications is of course a consideration so that the application can be one of the user preferences. This study uses a mix method approach through UEQ instruments method to measure the level of user experience in three applications so that they can then be identified. Collective data testing will use correlation analysis and regression analysis, and then use a qualitative approach to find out whether user experience experiences with the preferences of digital magazine users. The findings indicate that there is a strong relationship and influence of user experience on user preferences based on three dominant factors, including user friendy, which application can be easy to use, attractiveness about how application can attract user to use it by pleasure, and efficiency about how fast that application can be used.
