Description
Summary:Tirta Anom Water Supply Company (PDAM) Banjar City is a company engaged in drinking water supply services. Purwaharja WTP is one of the WTP in the area of PDAM Tirta Anom, Banjar City which has a production capacity of 40 L / s to serve the Banjar District, Pataruman District and Purwaharja District. Water needs in the service district will continue to increase so that the flow of clean water produced must also be increased in order to meet the needs of the community. The purpose of this final project is to evaluate and redesign Purwaharja's existing WTP units namely coagulation units, flocculation units, sedimentation units, filtration units, and disinfection units to be able to increase the water treatment capacity of Purwaharja's WTP. Raw water is taken directly from the Citanduy River water flow. Furthermore, this raw water will enter the first unit, namely the coagulation type of waterfall by adding Poly Aluminum Chloride (PAC). Then the raw water will enter the flocculation unit which will cause a slow stirring process. Furthermore, colloidal particles still contained in this raw water will be deposited on the sedimentation unit which has been equipped with a tube settler and will then be filtered using an ordinary filter type filtration unit. The content of microorganisms that are still contained in water will be carried out microorganism removal in the disinfection unit. The raw water discharge conditions available on the Cintanduy River with an increase in production capacity to 90 L / s can still serve the community until 2028. To meet the service target, the design of the new Purwaharja IPAM unit is designed with a production capacity of 50 L / s taking into account the parameters design of design criteria in SNI 6774: 2008, Kawamura (1991), Reynolds (1982), and Qasim (2000) equipped with sludge treatment units with Sludge Drying Bed Technology. The cost are required for uprating Tirta Anom Purwaharja WTP is Rp 15.101.576.893,10.
