Description
Summary:Technological progress is growing rapidly, especially in the field of rapid prototyping. The presence of 3D Print with the technology of Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) can help the industri in making prototypes. Making 3D Print machines is facilitated by the availability of components and forums in Indonesia. There are variations of material available, one of which is Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) material which has elastic properties. The use of 3D Print has not been felt by every industri, such as the Cibaduyut footwear industri. Small and medium-sized industries (IKM) are experiencing a decline in income, one of which is due to frequent errors in making shoe outsole Prints. A prototype is needed so that IKM can minimize errors in making shoe outsole Prints. The purpose of this study is to verify the 3D Print FDM machine with TPE Printing material to Print shoe outsole in IKM. Data collection is done to analyze design requirements by means of literature review, observation, interviews and exploration. The 3D Print engine will be verified by trial, placed in a different workflow in making a shoe outsole prototype on the IKM. Verification is used to find efficient, effective and economical workflows on IKM using 3D Print machines. The results of this study are that the use of 3D Print machines can work efficiently, effectively and economically if the process of making a shoe outsole prototype is on a third party.
