Summary: | Multiloop Control Unit for DC Electric Drive is a system that is used to control DC motor through three control loop: position, speed, and torque (current). The torque control loop is located inside the speed control loop, which is located inside the position control loop. This control system can receive input from the user: the specifications of motor, the type of control either position or speed, set point value, and PID constant value. If the user choose to enable multiloop control, then the system will use the output value of the outer loop as the input value of the inner loop.
In order for the control system to work properly, it requires feedback of position, speed, and torque from the output of the system. To get feedback that precise and accurate, a good instrumentation system is needed.
This report discusses the instrumentation that is applied in the control system and the steps taken during the development of the control system. Thus, the multiloop control system that is produced can have feedback from the sensors with good precision and accuracy. |
