Indonesia is an archipelago with the second longest coastline in the world, making Indonesia also have the largest mangroves in the world. In the other hand, Indonesia is experiencing the worst damage to mangrove forests in the world. The unbalanced results of replanting mangroves caused the amount of massive people energy needed and still do the manual barehanded planting methods. In the mangroves planting field, the terrain are covered with deep muddy with some dangerous cause that lurking the planter. This study uses the method of literature study, literature study, case studies, comparative studies with precedent products, and creative processes that are expected to get concrete solutions. The purpose of this study is to find the alternative solutions that can be planting mangrove seedlings spesifically in tidal areas. The design solution offered in this research is a mangrove seedling planting tool using a catamaran hull or a double hull which is designed to adjust the depth and type of mangrove seedlings. This project is designed with simple operation and adjusted maintenance to the fishermen’s habits as the target user.
