Summary:The availability of well-organized transport infrastructure will directly affect the improvement of economic competitiveness which will lead to rapid economic growth. The development of transportation infrastructure certainly requires a lot of money and a considerable amount of time. With a limited budget, the government is required to provide safe and convenient publik transportation services. In relation to the implementation of the development of transport infrastructure, the government through the RPJMN 2015 - 2019 has issued general policies related to transportation, namely accelerating infrastructure development for growth and equity, with priority on fulfilling basic infrastructure, provision of urban transportation, and enhancement of innovation and technology capacity. The development of this infrastructure is encouraged to strengthen national connectivity by enhancing the role of government and private partnerships. The Public Private Partnership scheme (PPP) is an alternative funding applied in the LRT Corridor 3 project of Bandung City because of the procurement of infrastructure with government responsibilities and responsibilities. The aims of study is to determine the process of implementing the public private partnership scheme in the LRT Corridor 3 project of Bandung City and to clarify any issues/challenges faced in its implementation. Then, formulating some strategies to address these issues/challenges. In addition this research explores PPP implementation in Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Bangkok so that it is expected to be a lesson for the Indonesian government in taking steps and policies related to the implementation of Government and Business Cooperation in urban mass transportation services. The research method used is qualitative approach through document study and interview with related parties. This research will be presented through case study analysis techniques and descriptive explorative analysis based on the experience of implementing government and business collaboration in Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Manila. Through iv such an analysis will provide insight and understanding for a more precise investigation focusing on the discovery of ideas and thoughts in conducting a study on the implementation of government and business cooperation in providing urban transportation services. Based on the results of the analysis, the public private partnership scheme has not been seen to provide great benefits to overcome the limitations of government. The implementation of PPP in the provision of urban transportation service in Bandung has not gone well. This scheme still faces problems and challenges in several aspects so that it requires a series of appropriate strategies to support the provision of good and sustainable transportation services.
