Summary: | The need of space and rooms has become an issue in urban areas. The decreasing area of land in an urban area has caused an increasing demand of a building with a lot of area inside it. To solve that problem, people need to build high rise buildings that can provide a lot of space and rooms for a lot of purposes such as working space.
Green Motion : Office & Lifestyle Center is a high rise building that was planned consisting of 2 towers, podium, and basement. This high-rise building consists of 31 stories on the first tower and 36 stories on the second tower with a maximum height of 153 m. The basement consists of 3 stories. This high-rise building will be build in the city of Medan and it will give solution to the need of space and rooms.
Green Motion Building will be build in a high seismic area, with “D” category seismic design. The seismic force resisting system in this building is dual system with special moment frames(SMF) and special reinforced concrete shearwall(SRCS). This system is chosen because of the high seismic demand and the high levels of the building. This building will carry a single stage analysis and there will be a space between the basement and the reinforced soil retaining wall.
For modelling purpose, Tekla Structural Designer(TSD) 2018 was used to carry analysis and design for Green Motion building. This program uses ACI 318-14 and ASCE 7-10 as the design codes. All requirement for seismic and non-seismic was checked by TSD. This structure engineering program also could produce detail drawings and structural plan automatically.
