Summary: | A general approach to approximate solutions of nonlinear ordinary dierential
equations and partial dierential equations is proposed in this thesis. The
solution of nonlinear ordinary dierential equation is approximated by Fourier
series and for the solution of partial dierential equation is approximated
by polynomial basis function or the multivariable Fourier series. The basis
function of approximation is measured by weighted residual function to see
how close the approximation function with the solution of the given dierential
equation. The initial and boundary value problem are treated by constructing
penalty function to add with the weighted residual function. The dierential
equation now becomes optimization problem to nd the value of coecients in
the approximation function. The optimization problem is solved with
ower
pollination algorithm. The
ower pollination algorithm is a robust and ecient
meta heuristic method to nd the global minimum. |
