Description
Summary:The high level of urbanization in Bandung City, coupled with the high growth of activities and the lack of housing facilities, has made lower-middle class people marginalized in acquiring land to live in. This has led to the formation of the phenomenon of ‘kampung-kota’ with increasing population numbers and densities each year. With the stigma of ‘kampung-kota’ as informal housing and slums, it is necessary to increase the value added and competitiveness of ‘kampung-kota’, one of which is the tourism strategy. The Bandung City Office of Culture and Tourism launched the Creative Tourism Village program in each sub-district in Bandung. The purpose of this program is to spread tourist movements and highlight the uniqueness of each sub-district in the city of Bandung. This study aims to identify the development of the Creative Tourism Village in the city of Bandung. This study will use a method of analyzing content from the results of stakeholder interviews in creative tourism villages. This study found that the Creative Tourism Village program was generally still in the embryonic stage; not yet worth visiting tourists. However, there are two creative tourism villages that have been active as tourist attractions, namely Kampung Cibunut and Kampung Dago Pojok.
