Description
Summary:Cisampih Fault Zone Hills Unit, Ciranggem Hogback Hills Unit, Kadu Homoclinic Hills Unit, Intrusion Hill Unit, and Alluvial Plains Unit. The geomorphic stage of the research area is mature and the drainage patterns are trellis, dendritic, and rectangular. The oldest rock unit in the research area is the Middle Miocene Claystone Unit which is deposited in the bathyal zone. In the Middle Miocene-Late Miocene, the Sandstone-Claystone Unit was deposited above the Claystone Unit with the depositional mechanism of gravity flow in the bathyal zone. On top of the Sandstone-Claystone Unit, the Breccia Unit was deposited in Late Miocene with the depositional mechanism of gravity flow in the upper bathyal-outer neritic zone. In Pliocene-Pleistocene an uplift and compressional deformation occurred which caused the research area became land and formed thrust fault, folds, and strikeslip fault. In Pleistocene, the Conglomerate Unit was deposited through braided stream fluvial system. After that a deformation caused the Conglomerate Unit to fold. In the same epoch, volcanic activities occurred that caused intrusion of andesite. The geological process such as erosion and sedimentation continue to occur until now.
