The research area covers 4.5 km2. The purpose of research is to specify the engineering geology condition of the research area and to determine the safety factor and to recommend the stabilization method on three specified slope along the Puncak Main Road KM 16-20. The morphology of the research area consists of ridge and plain with slope inclination ranges from nearly flat to very steep. Geomorphic processes that occurs in the research area are weathering, rotational landslide, and erosion. Rock and soil units in the research area from the oldest to youngest are Andesite Unit, Tuff Unit, and Clayey Sand Unit. The groundwater depth in the research area ranges from very shallow to very deep, and the flow relationship between the groundwater and rivers is effluent. Depression spring is observed in the research area. The research area is categorized into medium to high landslide susceptibility zone and medium earthquake susceptibility. The factor of safety of the three analysed slopes ranges from 0.75 to 1.01. The influencing factor are the shear strength of soil and thrusting force from various sources mainly gravitational force. The best stabilization method is the allocation of soil nailing reinforcement. text
