Summary:In this thesis, we use the particle method of Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) to simulate Couette-Poiseuille ow of Bingham plastic uid. Couette- Poiseuille ow is a laminar ow of viscous uids within a gap between two parallel plates caused by the dierence of pressure and plate movement relative to each other. Moreover, Bingham plastic uid is a kind of Non-Newtonian uid which behaves like a solid under the yield stress and ows like viscous uids when its yield stress is exceeded. As the constitutive equation, we apply two models: dual- viscosity and Papanastasiou model. Then, we analyze the velocity prole of the uid for various values of yield stresses and plate's velocities.
