Description
Summary:In this study, the influence of the inversion type and Wiener Filter Optimum deconvolution methods on the distribution of the 2nd sand layer in West Benakat Field was discussed. Elastic impedance inversions is more appropriate to identify reservoirs and non-reservoirs compared to acoustic impedance. Seismic data has a lower frequency value compared to well log data. To improve seismic resolution, using Optimum Wiener Filter as a deconvolution method can be used to increase the resolution of elastic impedance seismic inversion. Experimental results on several Optimum Wiener Filter methods provide varying values. However, the third experiment of the Wiener Filter Optimum is capable of producing good pseudo-gamma ray and has a higher frequency value compared to the frequency of the input. The use of bandpass filters also helps the pseudo-gamma ray to be better in separating between the 2nd sand layer and the other layers. The final results obtained in this study are the 2nd sand dispersion pattern that is suitable for each well used.
