| Summary: | The tourism sector today has grown rapidly and has become a very global
phenomenon. Currently the spotlight is on Air Manis Beach which is located in the
Air Manis Village, Padang Selatan District, Padang City. Air Manis Beach has very
famous tourist attractions, the legend of Batu Malin Kundang and Pulau Pisang. The
tourism attraction and potential in the Air Manis Beach is not supported by a good
and according-to-the-standard tourism management. This study aims to identify the
management of Air Manis Beach attractions. To be able to increase the number of
tourists hence required a management of tourism that is according to standard.
Information on the management of Air Manis Beach attractions is known from field
observations and interviews to the stakeholders involved. This study will reveal the
management of Air Manis Beach attractions. Where to start analyzing the current
condition of Air Manis Beach based on the tourism component, seeing the
development of Air Manis Beach tourism based on Butler theory, and identifying the
stakeholders involved in the management of Air Manis Beach attractions. It also
identifies the criteria of management systems, basic principles, and methods in the
management of Air Manis Beach attractions. This study will provide
recommendations regarding the management of Air Manis Beach attractions
involving relevant stakeholders by applying management system criteria, basic
principles, and methods in tourism management so that the management and
development of the attractions of Air Manis Beach can be standardized, increasing
the number of tourists in the future, and provide comfort and satisfaction for tourists |
