The increasing of population create challenges. One of which is the fulfillment of the public space (as a place for community to interact) and the cemetery (as a place to bury the dead). Cemetery in Indonesia generally have a negative impression, not least in Cimahi. In fact, the cemetery has the potencial to become an alternative public space. The objectives of this thesis is to design Lebak Saat Public Cemetery (TPU Lebak Saat) as a green open space and public space. TPU Lebak Saat located in the Cipageran Village, North of Cimahi, Cimahi. The total area 99 228 m2. The analysis focused on the site specific character and Islamic guidance in the process of burial. The site has some site specific characteristics such as soils condition with high porosity and prone to landslides, hilly soil profile and the site status as a water catchment area. These site spesific character have implications for the design results that play a role in conserving soil and water. In Islam also set about etiquette in the cemetery, such should not be stepped on tombs and encouraged to pray facing the Qiblah. These have implications for the design results that the dimension of circulation path rather wide and more. Design results will covers the site plan, and a few facilities such as Muslim tombs block, Non Muslim tombs block, public space, detention pond and parking area.
