Description
Summary:ABC Company is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Indonesia. With this condition, the company has a high involvement in the development of the nation, especially in the health development of the Indonesian people. At present, ABC Company is trying to develop new services for business sector diversification because there is a need to solve problems within the company related to maximizing revenue and the existence of promising market growth opportunities, one of the effort is through the development of Bio Availability and Bio Equivalent (BA / BE) laboratory facilities. The number of drugs in the Indonesian market around 13,666 products brands. In Indonesia, the cost for each BA / BE test averages more than Rp. 350 million. Simulation can be done if there are 10,000 drugs that require a BA / BE test with an average cost of Rp. 350 million, a rough estimate of the potential market of BA / BE test industry in Indonesia is Rp. 3.5 trillion. This has not been added to ASEAN market and international markets which are certainly broader if the testing process is able to meet the standards. In development BA / BE testing laboratory it is necessary to pay attention to various aspects including location and environment, technological aspects, competitor aspects, and customer aspects. Each of these aspects will comprehensively support the development of a BA / BE testing laboratory. In addition to this aspect, there are financial aspects that are very important in determining the feasibility of developing a BA / BE test laboratory. Through this research, the author analyzes the feasibility of the investment plan by calculating the projected investment costs needed, income, and expenses needed during operation. After analysis for each aspect, a financial feasibility analysis and feasibility of the investment plan were carried out. The financial feasibility of this investment plan is carried out by looking at the Net Present Value (NPV) parameters, Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Payback Period (PP). Based on the positive value of net present value (NPV) of Rp. 120.120.131.785 and the internal rate of return (IRR) greater than the weighted average cost of capital (WACC) of 28.89% and the investment payback for 4.53 years, it can be concluded that the project is financially feasible. Moreover, the BA / BE test laboratory development project is feasible to be carried out after being reviewed and analyzed from various aspects until consider the risks that might occur during the project.
