In this study, the compound that wanted to be analyzed was butylated hydroxyto/uene (BHT) which is an antioxidant compound synthesizing phenol derivatives. The use of BHT as an important antioxidant in the pharmaceutical industry because it can prevent the rate of oxidative reactions from organic compounds in the product. However, the use of BHT can harm health because it is carcinogenic, therefore its use in pharmaceutical products has a permissible amount of0.0075- 0.1%. EPK-MIP is prepared by electropolymerization using glutamic acid as a monomer and BHT as an analyte using cyclic vo/tammetry technique. Then the EPK-MIP was used as the working electrode on the potentiometer to analyze BHT in the sample and Ag!AgCl was used as the reference electrode. The effect of variations in analyte composition : monomers, electropolymerization cycles, and pH of the solution were studied to obtain the optimum measurement conditions. After the results of the three concentrations were analyzed by ANOVA, the Fexpemnent > Fcrilicatvalue was 30.2 > 9.5 which showed that there was no significant difference in the measurement of BHT concentration using the three methods text |
