This study aims to synthetize MIP (Molecularly Imprinted Polymer) which can be used to separate catechins from samples with good performance. MIPs are sythetized from chitosan as a monomer. acetic acid as porogcnic solvent. glutaraldehyde as a crosslinker. and catechins as mold molecules. NIPs (Non Imprinted Polymer) are also sythetized with the same precursors 'Without any addition of cathecins. NIPs and MIPs were characteri7ed using infrared spectroscopy and SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope). Their adsorbtion ability is also analyzed. Methanol:acetic acid (9: I) solution is used as a leaching solution to release catechins from MIP. The optimum contact time occurred at 1 hours contact time and the optimum pH for the adsorption process \\as 6.65. In a solution with 50 ppm concentration. the percent reco\ery is 87.62% \\ith 17.45% its total desorption. text |
